Training

At Stedman Volunteer Fire Department training is a comprehensive and rigorous process designed to prepare firefighters for the diverse and challenging scenarios they may encounter. This training encompasses a wide range of skills, including fire suppression techniques, emergency medical response, hazardous material handling, and rescue operations. Firefighters engage in both classroom instruction and hands-on exercises, simulating real-life situations to hone their decision-making, teamwork, and physical endurance. It’s not just about the initial training, but a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Specialized drills and ongoing education ensure that they remain adept at using the latest equipment and techniques, maintaining high readiness levels to protect and serve their communities effectively. If you’re interested in joining our team, either part-time or volunteer, join us any Thursday night.  We start at 6:30 p.m.
